About Us

I'm Heather and I have lived most of my life in rural Nelson County, VA.  There are so many reasons why I opened Loving Fibers in the heart of Nelson and why I chose this name for my business.  Most of all, I would like to create a safe community space for makers of all kinds. I grew up sewing and learned knitting at a young age. In college I dabbled in spinning and weaving, but would not consider myself proficient in either. Later, I took up quilting.  My hope is to bring some of my knowledge and experience to those who want to learn.

I will offer classes in knitting, crochet, sewing, quilting and other fiber crafts. There will be demos and guest teachers and a whole lot of fun!
